What a dirty sh***y range. Doesn't anyone collect the brass or empty shells? It's mandatory in our local range. Keeps the place tidy, safe and more enjoyable for everyone! Or is that the local landfill?

I wish... it's not an actual range, it part of a local mine. The Bureau of Land Management brings out a portable trash bin ant the volunteers pick up the area.

I wanted to post up a few pics of my MC Operator, a few guys wanted to see it after I got it back from the Custom Shop. My modifications have been mostly aesthetic thus far.

    BEFORE:

    AFTER:

    Modifications:

Armory Kote (black) frame to match the slide.
    Lanyard loop attached to MSH
    Strider/Simonich G10 Gunner Grips (coyote)

    Observations:

I dig the lanyard loop and I feel as though any serious fighting/SHTF handgun should AT LEAST have the option of running a lanyard.

The grips are great. While researching them before buying, I found all sorts of people saying that they're too rough and uncomfortable. I love them! They're very "grippy" but aren't overly rough or sharp. If my hands were covered in sweat, oil, blood, etc. I have full confidence in having the ability to retain the pistol. The grips came looking very dry and light tan in color. I rubbed some oil into them and the grips soaked it up and darkened a bit. I figure after a few cleaning sessions, the grips will be the darker coyote brown I was looking for.

I didn't dislike the OD green frame, but I definitely wanted it to be all black with coyote grips...which goes along with the pistol being my idea of what every Marine's sidearm should be

The original Prince Kit is nearing being declared illegal as backing out its screw makes it work like a standard mag release.

"Boooliiiit" Button and MMG are good to go though. I built a Stag-15 with MMG, looking at building a different caliber AR next.

    Nice .45 USMC Tanker!

To be honest, I like the looks of the original (I've got Pachs on my Springfield), but if you prefer it now, that's all that matters!

The Pachmayr grips were fine, just too sticky...I like hard, gritty grips.

Kind of like how I had Hogues on my M9, but went back to the factory grips!

I've got Hogues on my CZ75, which I like.

The thing about pistols, is there really isn't any such thing as "what's better", rather it's all a matter of personal preference and what works for the person using the shootin' iron.

The lower parts kits are still on back order

My next goal is to stock up on more 7.62x39, 6.8mm, 5.45x39, 5.56 and 308 magazines. C Products is gonna love me.
Damn...haha. No doubt you are stocked at this point.

USMC Tanker, awesome 1911. The 'after' pics reminds me a lot of those random, but individualized/customized MEUSOC 45s.

After toying around with different ideas, I decided to chop one of my vertical foregrips. I didn't really want to shell out $60+ for a Tango Down stubby grip (although they are really nice). I wanted to try out a shorter grip because I don't really do the traditional "chicken neck choke" grip wit VFGs, but rather the high grip.

My standard KAC grip to the left, with the chopped grip to the right. I had to find the balance of it being short enough yet retaining enough of the internal threads for a proper lock.

Thoughts: I would have liked it to be a little shorter, but couldn't go any shorter w/o losing locking power. In that respect, this would be more like a 'mid-length' VFG instead of a 'stubby.' At least i can still get my entire hand on there if I went for the chicken choke grip again. As for the single color, I didn't bother painting it to match the rest of the rifle since the paint's wearing off the rifle.

I agree! I bought these for me to build eventually. My average price was only $125 per receiver. No plans to sell any. I just ordered a 7.62x39 and 5.45 uppers for my next builds.

Our very own TacoDelRio utilizing one of my rifles to dispose of bowling pins.

You'll be happy to hear I removed my Redi-Mag.

I've seen some CZ-82's on aimsurplus for a decent price. Worth buying for a plinker/first pistol?

My rifle, just to stay on topic.
