Bullets are bad for your body but most of the time surviveable, depends on size and velocity.

Russians always have infantry ride on the outside...despite heavy losses from IEDs and hostile fire. Makes ambushes harder and spotting IEDs easier since you have a bunch of eyes on the outside of the vehicle.

Not something I'd want to do though. No western miltary does it, it's a strictly Russian thing I guess.

During Vietnam we did it with the M113's, for the same reason. Safer on the outside, than on the inside where all the shrapnel goes and bounces around.

I ordered a digital camera from BassPro made by Oregon Scientific. Thought it would be a perfect addition to my home defense rifle.










S&W M&P 15 with Trijicon TX30 TriPower red dot scope which I added this evening a Oregon Scientific Digital Camera and an Insight Technologies Tac Light/Laser. Makes for the perfect Home Defense rifle.

Rock River LAR-8 308 Tactical Counter-Sniper Rifle with Trijicon TR20-2 and Magpul CTR stock

LWRC M6 Piston Carbine with Trijicon TA31F and Magpul CTR stock

Erm, yeah I forgot about that. Same with Sheridan crews. But it never turned out to be a major thing with US forces, it was a temporary abberation due to a mine threat.

Notoo, no rail adapter for the Cam?

Good eye! I just got the camera Saturday. Didn't realize the rail adapter wasn't included. So that will be the next thing to order for the camera. The good news is the camera worked better than expected.

I used it this morning by wrapping an arm strap tightly around the hand guard. Surprisingly the strap handled the recoil rather well.

Thanks Karaahmetoglu , I was considering a POF in 6.8 with the most current updates, but all I have seen is plated versions. Little too pimp for my taste.

They have a few issues, but nothing that can't be remedied.

I'll be interested to see how much the POF roller cam will cost once it's introduced. That should keep the gouging in the upper receiver (which is more common with piston guns) to a minimum.

I need to buy a LWRCi Advanced Cam Pin, myself.

Control buttons are on the top of the camera body, next to the display. You have to hold the record button for like 05 seconds. I added the tactical light because the low light was not very impressive. Going to try to it with an IR illuminator eventually.

I want to update the POF and Bushmaster Piston with the one piece bolt carriers and rolling cams. My LWRC was purchased last year so I am in no hurry to update it. Also have a CMMG piston upper on order. Looking forward to testing it against my other pistons.

My dad has a Tantal, and loves it. I'd love to have one. However, as a collector, I'd like to have a more traditional-style AK-74.
