i think he means the pistol, not the rifle..

The other thing, is that the majority of people can shoot a .40 S&W better than a .45 acp. The over all shooting scores drop when using the .45 acp. The Feebees tried the 10mm, in the similar class to the .45 acp, but scores were not acceptable. 9mm was felt to be too anemic of a round so a compromise was the .40 S&W, is my understanding. It is not so much cost as it is a effective shooting issue.

    Thumbs up

All, yeah it's an M&P pistol in 45. Honestly, I don't mind the idea of a 10+1 45 but it was a great price and it was everything but the caliber I wanted; I'll just adapt to the heavier round and go from there. If it's really unbearable, it wont be , I'll put it on Gunbroker or something. I'll be sure to add the MP.net discount. Lol.

As for the .40 versions, those are all going to police depts and agencies. It's actually been beating out Glock fairly well in competitions between the two, much to the disgust of my Glock-ophile friend. Either way, Ive got 8 days and then I'll be at the range as much as possible and taking as many classes as my wallet can stand. Any tips for stances?

Woops, I've been dealing with M&P 15's too much lately, I was thinking of that.

No problem. The shop had one of those too. That and the .22 tacticool AR that S&W does. The M&P 15, especially in MOE guise is drool-worthy.

I saw one of those, but at $500, to much for a 22 IMHO, 22s are the working man/kids gun, it should be inexpensive and so should the ammo. IF I am elected, several 22's in every house and a pot full of ammo.

Hear, hear! Although I will admit to having one of those 10-22s with the heavy barrel and target stock etc...

Did you do that when Budweiser had that contest on accuracy. People where buying 10-22, stripping it except for a bare bone receiver than dumping over grand into them?

Hollis, you keep talk like this up you'll find yourself a write-in winner.

A plain Jane plinker and a sexy li'l souped-up one; nothing wrong with that. It's like having a factory stock '57 Chevy and a streeted out version for showin' off. I can dig it.

My favorite all time .22 is still my BSA 12/15 target single shot I replaced the wood on. I love that rifle.

I have been on the hunt for a 10/22 for over a year now, and have had no luck on a "decent" price, and i am not willing to pay $300 for a .22 .. :P

You should send one of those 1911's to me for testing. I'll give it that authentic worn look airsofters always go after.
