So after I needed warranty work on my Springfield M1A Scout (see pic, they replaced a lot of stuff that was causing extraction issues), I decided not to go the EBR route as it would be a pain of massive proportions if I had to send it back again. I looked around the interwebs and found some posts about using a handgun scope and had my local gun shop set me up. It's 2-6x and does its job well. For pistol grip .308 justice, I'm going to snag an FN SCAR 17S instead, which is coming along sooner than I thought. In stage 2 of my flat dark earthing of my M4 type, I added alternating Magpul XTM panels to the rails like the rifle shown in the Magpul AFG thread. It looks a lot better in person than in the picture. Now that I've got some accuracy with the M1A, I was able to shoot the various happy faces with ease once I took some zeroing shots.
