I just got four more guns, now the cabinet is full. Two of the rifles were given to me. They are 303 No4 MK1* cut down and are only suitable for projects or spares. From my brother i got a 1901 303 sporterised with a worn barrel and a nice side mounted scope rail. Another future restoration project. Also i got an Ivor Johnson single barrel 12Ga shotgun in almost mint condition. This will be used for shooting black powder. I just got the catalogue for the next Wellington Antique arms Auction. For more info check out www.nzaaawgtn.org.nz , I hope the link works.

shoots bloody accurate too! 3 foxes to its credit, one in low light at night, plus a couple of roos.
    so far.
what recoil?? nice rifle that nr1mkIII, how much are the M10s in your parts of the world?
did anyone else noticed that .303 sounds more like a loud "pffft" than a "bang"???

I just got back from the Oregon Fal Files Chapter annual rifle/pistol match. I ended up using my Belgian/DSA FAL, Enfield No.4, Glock 22, and AK-74. A good time.

I gotta book a range and let the SLR and Vepr out to stretch their legs, they are probley feelin a little unloved at the moment. No excuse really when there a 3 ranges to choose from at work a 100, 300 and a 600m(900 with clearance). Still need to get a bullet guide for the Vepr to function 100%, anyone have much experiance with these. Apart from that its a pretty nice 74 look alike in black.

Top: AIA M10 B2 Match (7.62 x 51 NATO) - Harris Bipod, Apen Apex 4030 39 x 4.2 Scope (does the job for now) Bit of a SMLE/M14 hybrid. got it dialled right in, bloody accurate and consistent, but took a bit to fire in the weapon and make it run smooth (plus the only N/D I have ever done in my life - It fired after I hit the bolt handle with the palm of my hand as it siezed up on the second round while locking. not an aimed shot at all!! ) Has 7 kills to its name so far (1 x red deer, 6 roos, all tasty)

So you like the AIA then. I have been watching the company for years, but never found anyone who actually owns one.

Heres a tip, never own up to shooting roos on a place where your IP is known, i dont want to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but hey, you never know. Rumour is roos can be taken down from .22lr up. Number 4's also work well

Actually, I'm happy for you, Roy! Honest.
    I shouldn't bitch, as I have a 55 Tula.

The more I think about it, I believe a decent SKS w/ stock iron sights would have done very well at yesterday's rifle matches. The distance wasn't so far away that optics or free-floating barrels w/ match-grade ammo would have been required, and all that would have been necessary was a rifle that fired with reasonable accuracy and semi-auto speed. Simplicity is good.

Yah. I have to decide what to do with this one. I'm tempted to put a Tapco T6 on her....but I'll see what kind of shape she's in when she arrives.

Fvck that, Roy. Keep her in her original condition. Don't ruin her with Tapco/UTG crap!
