lol, no thank you SIR! lol i don't even think i'm gonna give that pistol to my kids...when i have them...it'll be buried with me.
i had a list of guns i wanted to buy before years end, buyin the Colt kinda messed it up. i'm tryin to decided between a Sig 220 or one of those new Taurus PT1911's, i've held a few of the Taurus's they are nice, half price Kimbers with all the bells and whistles. and i've fired a 220, it was damn accurate. one of those two and what i've been plannin on for the last 6 months a Uberti Single Action Army in .45 Colt. and some form of .30-06.
thats a nice grip on the carbine.
Nice find, punchinout!! You came across an original 1911 (as opposed to a 1911A1). Just outa curiosity, how much did you pay for it?
It is highly collectable. DO NOT I repeat, DO NOT, do any modifications to it!!! Keep it as original as possible.
Congrats, you lucky bastard.

It's the Tactical Pistol Grip from First Samco, or now called Command Arms.
The thing definately helps out when you have to hold that rifle upright for extended periods of time. The tail is what really makes the grip as it feels better in my hand then the standard issue grip.
It also has a storage pocket that could house batteries for a light, but I found that it makes too much noise if you have batteries in there, so now I have a small survival kit, with waterproof matches, string, and a small blade. (Very small)
