    My two puppies, Bulgarian/Arsenal SLR-107F; US/Springfield Armory M1A-SS (18" barrel).

I have a TWS rail for the AK, just not here with me ATM to put on it... Not really in a hurry though, I love the irons on it... Didn't like the idea of a forward mounted scope on the M1A either, but I have grown to like it. I don't think I'll be changing these pups up too much anytime soon...

AK mags are circle 10's, 4x30 rounders, and one 40rd... also a crappy US made 5 rounder that I actually made not function as a proper mag but now offers bolt-hold capabilities (accidental genius)

Also the scope I got for free from a friend of mine, not too sure on its pricing or anything. It's a 3-9x zoom, the eye relief is about 12-15" which works out great for being forward mounted ("scout style") so you still have plenty of perifrial vision and you can easily scope in a target with both eyes open (less strain that peeping down a closer mounted scope with one eye closed). At first I wasn't too fond of it, now that I've used it a bit, I think it has more benefits (at least for my M1A) over the standard over-action mount. You can still easily load ammo by hand or stripper clips right into the magazine if needed this way, not to mention cleaning and maintenance is a bit easier... Now I'm just looking at buying a decent handgun, and possibly may go for an AR-15 for some kicks... But that's down the road...

I think my next gun after my M&P9C will have to be an AK-47.

I looked at one of those, I think I might be going with the SR9C when I get my tax return.

Wamba, What country are you in? If you are USA, it's odd that you don't have the import markings on the magwell.

Very nice. However I have since decided to get an S&W M&P9C instead. My wife got a chance to hold one and it felt comfortable, so it was a winner.

I don't think you'll be disappointed; I know quite a few guys carrying them as their BUG or CCW and they are really happy with them.

Glad I'm not the only one that noticed that.

Hollis is 98, so it is ok.

I managed to get some new groups shot at the range last weekend. I was testing this beauty:

Funny thing that brake. When I shot from standing the recoil, despite the fact that it is still .308, was reduced to what I would describe as vibration. Gun doesn't really come back nor does the muzzle go up. Infact the muzzle drops down on each shot. From what I gathered in quick runs I think if I shoot a in the top of the A on old IPSC silhoutte the sights will end up just below the A in the recoil at 100m distance. Bit unreal really.

This is how much filth there is in the mechanism after 100 rounds. There was nothing on the carrier:

I shot two 10-round groups. I still pulled three rounds from the 20 but the groups were 1.35 MOA by average. Without the three fliers the groups would have averaged 0.9 MOA. And I still feel it is me who is underperfoming. I feel there is lot in the rifle that I just need to get out of it.

    Better one of the groups:
