Flint HB, not many people shoot .338 Lapua. If it does not have a muzzel brake, I would put one on. I have .338 Win Mag and it is bad enough.
As CJ pointed out, I have never heard anything bad about Savage.
I haven't read otherwise.
Anybody have any first hand experience with a Savage chambered in the 338 Lapua?
The local gun store has a Savage 110FCP 26' barrel I've been looking at.
Someone tell me some negatives as I've only found a relative small amount of information all regarding positive information.

FHB,
The Savage 110 is a good rifle. I have shot several 338 LM rifles and have been considering buying the Savage. A friend of mine gave me a review they did of the Savage and a Steyr, and even though the Savage was several thousand dollars less it performed very well in overall accuracy compared to the Steyr.

New work gun. Beretta 92FS - I was feeling a tad nostalgic lol. She's replacing the Glock 17...
EDIT: Pic to follow. POS phone won't upload.

Rhino, can't go wrong with an sr22 or a tap-ed out 10-22. Expect hours and years of cheap rimfire fun. I also like my SKS but you HAVE to clean it after you shoot it. If you can't make up your mind buy BOTH. Works for me
My 10-22 in a couple different configurations...
Nice!
Are you able to easily remove the dust cover and field strip it, while leaving the optic intact?
I haven't heard or read anything negative about them either, a reason why I asked the experts in here. I was hoping to find SOMETHING negative. Only read one review where someone had to send theirs back in for minor things and praised Savage for their customer support. I don't know the quality or effectiveness of the muzzle break on the model I was looking at it does indeed have one.
Model 110 FCP HS Precision
Thank you sir.
With the price per round I would obviously be looking at reloading.
dont remember if this question was asked already so;
is there a advantage for a bolt rifles to have a thumb/pistol grip type butt stock??? I can see how for a semi, like Dragunov it may works, but for bolt action where you hand has to leave and work the bolt?
thoughts?
I am fancying the idea of buy me a Sig 522 .22 carbine. Its a pain in the ass here, but it look great and Ill have to have it in a Federal Firearms club in a safe and only use it there. Its also expensive as hell.![]()
