Indeed, but I am more fond of the Kobra sight. Got to use that precious side rail somehow.

Had some fun at the range yesterday.

The AR on the left, Stevens 350, and 870 are mine. The rest belong to a buddy.

I keep seeing the Stevens ad in American Rifleman, the bottom eject sounds kind of cool. How does it shoot?

After doing a bit of google researching, I decided to pick one up at a local Sporting Goods chain for $180. It's basically a Chinese copy of an Ithaca 37, just like the NEF Pardner pump is a Chinese 870 clone.

I really like it. Yesterday was the second time I took it to the range, and I was able to put around 120 rounds through it. It functioned great. Being a lefty, and having a bottom eject is a plus. The Ghost ring sights are surprisingly good, as well. I was grouping slugs at 35 yards within the size of a dinner plate.

The one criticism I have is the amount of lateral sway in the pump, but it's not much more than my 870, and isn't a huge concern. For under $200, it's definitely a buy.

So after all the Savage talk ended up getting a CZ452.22LR and Weihranch HW 97 Blackline. My local dealer had a great deal on whihc saved me over $500.

Now just have to wait for the paperwork to finalise.

You won't regret getting the CZ. I just need to track down a .17HMR barrel for mine, damn things are rarer then leprechauns up here.

    M38?

    M96?

My Swedes shoot incredibly well and the 6.5x55 is a heck of a round out to distance.

I'd go so far to call my Swedes perfect......BAR the master hand stock being too straight.

Ah, Flagg, Rod n Gun in Richmond had Swedes in plastic stocks, and not bad either ! I have one kept for me for when I go down south on holiday.
Theres nothing over in NZ that 6.5x55 wont sort out - big porkers or Wapiti - all go down.

It is a M96, that was shortened IIRC. The 9.6 Swede is one heck of a round. I also have a target model M96.
