Well I finally got the Speedfeed III stock on and thought I'd post a pic of the finished product,

New one for me it's a bit of a change in pace I know; semi-auto Type-56 with folding bayonet:

How do you like the speedfeed stock?Originally Posted by Geezah
Yeah I like it, I had the Speedfeed as you can see and just switched over to the Speedfeed III, the gap between the back of the trigger guard and front of the pistol grip bugged me a bit, but I got to the range Sunday and it worked just fine.Originally Posted by Chuck6d

Can you stil operate the the trigger? Looks like quite a distance from the pistol grip. How does it shoot? More comfortable?

That was what bugged me at first, I found out the reason for the gap is so you can remove the trigger group without taking the stock off.Originally Posted by Sabre
It feels good and the gap isn't as bad as it looks, I was pleased with the purchase.
Shoots great, I prefer the control you have with the pistol grip when shooting and loading the shells, doesn't feel like you're tweaking your wrist, and yes, it's as comfortable as a 12ga with an 18-1/2" barrel can be when it goes bangOriginally Posted by Sabre

Interesting. I suppose the pistol grip would give more control for reloading. And yes, I take your point about the 'comfort' issue...it's all relative! So it's somewhere between Andrex super-soft and getting sat on by an angry hippo in the comfort stakes.![]()
You also have more control when pulling the shells out of the stock, I have to give it an A-Originally Posted by Sabre

I think once you remove the wooden stocks and replce them with poly, you cut down on allot the weight that would help keep down the recoil and with the shorter barrel, I would say the kick is similar to that of a Mosan Nagant M44 minus the metal buttplateOriginally Posted by Sabre

I like this, did you use Brownells?Originally Posted by wamp0311
It looks pretty sweet, I take it you redid the finish yourself?
I did my shotty but I have the orange peel and runs affect in my paint job, I got the paint from Brownells.
I cant take all the credit, my father does the actually refinishing, he beadblasts the entire gun, then some other process of which I have no clue then Duracoats it and bakes it. Started up a website but havent got around to updating it or finishing itOriginally Posted by Geezah
