    Virus.

    Is that an OOW receiver?

I wish so bad they had the proper X & Y indents and better looking dimples.

Can't someone build a frickin authentic looking US receiver!

Somebody told me that we were going to be able to import the Sig 550 series pretty soon. I have'nt heard anything official so I'm guessing it's just a rumor. Can anybody confirm or deny this?

I've heard something similar. I think folks on AR-15.com were talking about it, but so far it's just speculation.

nice. Did Sig design the same iron sights as the the ones on the earlier HK stuff or did Sig let them borrow the design?

It's the same rumour for years now. To tell you the truth, I don't think that's gonna happen anytime soon.

And when it happens many people will be disappointed by the result.

For do you guys pay for a .223-semiauto-rifle in the USA? Something around 1'000.- bucks?
Well, the SIG costs us here easily 2'000.-. So if the SIG is gonna be made over there, there'll be changes, to make it cheaper. And cheaper means less quality.

Would they be considered Post-1986 firearms?
Or wait, you mean import non-class 3 then right? Semi-auto lower reciever?

Another reason to leave this damn place (CALI).

Yes, they need at least 7 "made in the USA"-parts, or something like that.

Nothing more than a rumour, this has been brought up a number of times on the Sig Forum, the way I understand it the only way we would get new Sig 550 rifles over here is if they were produced here and that will not happen.

    ?
A sig in the states can run you $8k-9k
A nice semi 223 can range from $900-$9000 all depends on what you want.

EDIT: A Sig 552 COMMANDO will run a police department in the states $1500 to $2000 depending on who they buy from.

The only thing that prevent us civs from buying 551's is the 89 import ban.

    SU-16s go for what, 600-700? And that's a decent .223 also.

Yup. It's a cross between an AKM, an AR15, and whatever my keyboard is made out of!

Nah they're good. Not SIG-550 level, but good.
