    Thanks Chen!

To add to this, Yes a really nice visit from Gaijin and SMGLee. The only down side was that the visit was short. Thanks also to Gaijin and SMGLee.

Didn't know UTG made rail systems for the Galil. Interesting though, it's still not something you see everyday. I once thought of getting a Galil...but they were a little too front heavy for me, lol. What optic were you getting for it? The top rail looked a little high, will still be able to retain use of iron sights?

They are heavy no doubt, vertical grip helps. The rail is a bit high with the optics on iron sights are blocked. so we'll see how it works out with the sight:

65 MOA Holographic Sight, 1 MOA Aiming Dot, Black Matte

i had a similar rail set up for my AK, and you could technically Use the Irons, but it wasnt great.

Iron sights work with the rail until I mount the sight.

Oh ok, I thoguht the rails were a little high for co-witnessing with optics.
If you're getting an EOtech, have you considered getting the 512 or 552? It uses AA batteries which are cheaper, and has longer battery life.

Do you know any other rail systems for AKs? My friend's looking for a decent one for his AK. The rails we've seen are too high to co-witness Aimpoints with. He's considering the ultimak top rail/gas tube replacement, but he'll still need to get a bottom tri-rail piece.

    Ezekiel25:17, LOL at your avatar.

there are quite a few, they range from 70$ for the UTG ( Yeah yeah i know) to upwards of 400$. but for An AK/GALIL co witness isnt gunna happen.

Yea, but the Ultimak gas tube rails allow cowitness with APs, and those run around $100. Problem is, their bottom rail kit's like $200...so we're looking at $300+. Problem with the ultimak gas tube replacement is that it gets really hot. Eotechs tend to shut off with the high heat, but I think the APs should hold fine.

Doesn't require replacement of lower hand guard as it's a standalone unit.
