Nice Red Fern, I just picked one up for my wife. A Kahr-Thompson 1911. Early Christmas gift.

Next to my latest Glock 22RTF from last month.

I wish I could get away with giving my wife a gun for Christmas.

No matter how many times I see it, I still can't really wrap my head around into liking the new slide grooves on the RTF Glocks.

    My new toy...

Don't know much about the history of this particular M1919, it's an M1919A7 and was made by SAGINAW STEERING DIVISION (stamped on side). Can't find much about the M1919A7 brownings, a friend said it was used by the Israeli military. Anyone know anything about this?

    Wassupp HOLLiS...
You're right that's what it is .308, but from what I understand most all the M1919's that stayed in service out there have been coverted over to 7.62 nato from 30.06. I just don't know anything about the A7 model "M1919A7" Can't find anything at all about it.

Maybe the A7 is misnomer? I am not all 100% on the 1919 designation. I have one sans the tripod. I do have a bipod (even a extra one for it) and a carry handle. A A6, ...can be very wrong.. has a "butt stock" to it.

Maybe A7 is just a regular 1919 on a tripod??? Your 1919 looks like mine (though a cleaner build).

Let us know when you find out anything. Any ways, this is mine.

Yes, Springfield Armory M1911-A1. From the hunting store, there on consignment...the guy who sold it to the store just wanted to get rid of it, so it had a very attractive price.

Went and shot it today, actually. It was great. Powerful little monster up against 2x4 blocks.
