    Nice, Komsomol!
Where are you, and what types of firearms are you allowed to have there?

Spaz, that's a pretty good deal. You might also want to look at DSA's website. They recently had uppers really cheap, and they might still be available. SOG Armory recently had a sale on lowers, and there are a few places in your neck of the woods, like NW Armory, that also sell lower receivers.

Haha, I was JUST about to ask about that rifle. Are those 5.45 AK's generally built better than the WASRs? I have a WASR10/63 but contemplating picking up an AK chambered in 545 like that TG because of how dirt cheap and readily available surplus 5.45x39 seems to be.

I like my WASR, but I think these are definitely better. Nodak Spud receivers have an excellent reputation, and Bulgarian AKs are considered to be amongst the best in the world. If I had not already purchased a Bulgarian AK-74 parts kit and Nodak Spud receiver, I would buy this in a heartbeat.

And yeah, ammo is dirt cheap.

Thanks gaijin, I'll definitely check them out. I'm hesitant to try a build since I have very little experience with AR's, that's why I loved the price of the DTI-4.

An AR build is VERY EASY. Especially if you buy the lower with internal parts already installed, and the upper w/barrel and gas tube. From there, you just add the types of stock, pistol grip, sights, etc. you want.

I built a STAG AR a few years back. Purchased the stripped lower and parts kit along with the complete upper from AIM. I think I saved a few bucks but just building the AR gives you a real insight into what goes where.

Everything you need(instructions) build an AR is over on ARFcom. It is worth buying the roll pin punches, as a philips screwdriver isn't the best tool to use to try and get around buying the correct tools.

As to Del-Ton, I've purchased AR parts from them in the past( prices are fair), and I was going to ask Bryan at AIM, if he would be getting any Del-Ton stripped lowers in, so I could go ahead and build an AR for my boy.

I could imagine, it can be useful for home defense, and I'd very much like to do some night shooting with the flashlight. Plus people like gadgets, you know, even when they aren't have immediate practical purpose...
