    OT question for 'ze germanz' here, why has the german word for barrel gone from Lauf back in the WW2 era, to rohr today?

    Came across a mention of it regarding translating old firearms manuals yesterday, and i heard the chap dissasembly that MG4 saying it when he refered to the barrel.

    the Lauf does not include the chamber for the projectile. the whole thing including the chamber is the Rohr (tube/pipe)

    It should be mentioned though that the "EKT" platoons belong to the PSYOP-branch of the German military. One might expect that at least these military mass communication specialists could produce some actual combat footage, but it's nothing else than propaganda for the home front!

    yeah and propaganda means in this case that our soldiers are not fighting in a-stan...
    thats why they only show how they fire "illuminating shells" with the 120mm
