I wonder if those are the new CH 53 GA?CH 53 für ISAF Einsatz

Apparently the CH53GA wont have external fuel tanks but extra internal ones.
85+04 is the GA prototype, so maybe 85+05 is a GA as well.
That was all Google could tell me.
It makes no sense to remove the provisions for the external tanks. So I guess while the GA has more internal fuel, it retains the hardpoints for the external tanks.
85+05 could also be a -GE model, which are the six Gs not modified into GAs, which get a modest upgrade.
But apparenly the 85+ serials are for GS and GA only, original CH-53Gs have/had 84+ serials.
I just read that 85+05 and 85+01 are the newest CH53s we've got, built after the crashes of 85+09 and 84+08 in the years 2000 and 2002.

Anyone who knows where the 85+05 is based at? I wonder why he is loaded into the AN in Tegel.
OMG, this is so embarassing:

Then again, what would the air force know about snipers?![]()
