    cant her/read this anymore, the 37/10 was pissing me off anyway, but in a warzone like afghanistan, you shoud be able to wear equipment that works for you...

    @topic,
    i dont think he is a marksman, he is using a red dot... thats not usual equipment for designated marksmen....

    .
    True to some extend. But for everyone who puts some thought into what he is adding to his issued gear, there are 5 posers who will pack gucci kit just for the high speed - low drag looks. We´ve even seen examples of soldiers, wearing cheap airsoft-crap right here in this thread. This guy´s pimped out G 3 however is übercool!

    I´d bet that it is privately purchased. Along with the comtacs and his ballistic vest. If you could see that kind of gucci kit amongst some of the other members of the platoon I´d assume that it was issued - FschSpZg for example uses both such helmets and peltor comtacs. But since he´s the only one, I´m inclined to assume he is a hardcore-geardo.

    Plus: Whenever I´ve seen pictures of soldiers mit comtacs, they always used them together with their radios - he´s just wearing them for the sake of active hearing protection. Haven´t seen that before, apart from the shooting range at home.

    I have no experience with this particular helmet, but I´m pretty sure you could put the brackets for the Lucie on this helmet without any problems. At least I can´t think of a reason why it shouldn´t work.

    I would say so. The LUCIE helmet mount consists of two hooks with a rubber strap. That thing fits on every helmet I guess.

    Btw. I know many guys using airsoft plate carriers over there and some of them went to Kunduz more than once and that "crap" worked perfectly fine and way better than the IdZ vest.

    Anyone else thinks it's strange to converse in English with fellow Germans? I just now thought of that. I mean this thread is primarily visited by Germans.

    Just feels funny to talk to possible next door neighbours in a foreign tongue

    End of the mindfart...sorry for going offtopic.

    Salute?
    Presenting arms without actually presenting it.
    I was Ehrenzug on Gorch Fock (smallest guy in it ).
    AFAIK really presenting arms is officially done only with Kar98K, and these guys have G36.
    We usually did it that way and we had G3A1s with wooden stocks.

    Btw, the Fallis with KTzG should be the platoon of the good friday ambush.
    And the Americans are the Blackhawk crews.
