1. Delta Force: Black Hawk Down [Multiplayer is great on Novalogic]
2. NFL Fever 2004 [No one can top my dynasty]
3. Age of Kings: The Conquerors
4. Halo [Single-player sucks after you've beaten it, multiplayer is always full of entertainment though]
Um, that's about it for me. LOL. I wish I had more time!
1. America's Army: Operations (realistic multiplayer tactical shooter sponsored by the US Army)
2. Natural Selection (freaky multiplayer sci-fi Half-Life mod)
3. Call of Duty (World War II shooter)
4. Halo (awesome sci-fi shooter, can't wait for the sequel)
5. Half-Life (greatest first person shooter. Ever. EVER.)
6. Lock On: Modern Air Combat (realistic present-day combat flight sim)
7. Pong (OOORAH!!!)
1. Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis (Best Game Ever!!)
2. Day of Defeat (Great multiplayer game, love the Lee Enfield)
3. America's Army: Operations (Can't wait till version 2.0)
4. Desert Combat (very well done, takes an otherwise mediocore game to a new level)
Five games are at the top of my list. Here they are in no particular order.
Lost Vikings II (SNES) (a puzzle game where three cybernetically-enhanced vikings are warped through time and space, trying to get home to medieval Scandinavia. Bloody brilliant gameplay, suitably heroic/campy music, and hilarious dialogue between the three vikings between each level. An absolute masterpiece. And it was done by Blizzard Entertainment, famous for their Starcraft, Warcraft, and Diablo series). Final Fantasy III (SNES) (If you don't know what the Final Fantasy series is, I'm not going to try to explain. But I think the best of the series was the 16-bit era) Final Fantasy II (SNES) Legend of Zelda III: A Link to the Past (SNES) (Replace "Final Fantasy" with "Zelda" in the sentence above). Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon with the two expansion packs (PC) (a very very realistic modern infantry tactical shooter by the makers of the Rainbow Six series)
I honestly haven't been that excited about console games since the good ol' Super Nintendo. And in general for modern games, I think too much effort is put into graphics (especially non-interactive cinema scenes) and not enough put into quality of gameplay. Ghost Recon is a rare exception for me. The game is effing brilliant.
1) America's Army
2) F/A-18 Hornet Series
3) Lo-mac
4) GTA: Vice City
5) Summoner
6) Neverwinter Nights
7) Raven Shield
8) Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2
9) Space Quest Series
10) Alone in the Dark
11) FS2004
12) Giants: Citizen Kabuto
13) Ghost Recon
14) Splinter Cell
15) Carmageddon 2 and 3
I forgot about OFP, what a sweet game. Can't wait for OFP2. Supposedly it's coming out next year sometime with an improved engine and multiple theaters of combat.
