D.Sigurdsson, you're right. I don't normally use the masterkey at all (as situation never calls for it.) Balance wise, it's not too bad to handle, as the masterkey itself acts like another foregrip.
MrSkorotsnoy, the receiver is just an el cheapo SRC metal receiver with engraved SRC trades I sprayed flat black. In person, the trades are still barely visible if you look very closely. As for the BUIS, I've had it for a while, and it's also in my previous pictures. I custom made the diopter rear sites from my old UHC MP5 by sticking them onto a weaver scope ring. It's very very solid. It works very well because I am able to adjust the site of the peep hole.
That's an awesome Glock MadMan !!!!![]()
I finished the finish on the RIS rail covers and the 'can' (complete with sound insulating foam) today. I used a dark gray primer for the color, and buffed it until it had a satin finish to it (as a opposed to an ultra flat look) for a real steel look.
It's actually not so glossy in person, the camera made it appear so.
This is the receiver up close once again, with the carry handle this time.

Good deal dude. Looks great, you did a great job!
Thanks MrSkorotsnoy.

Ha ha, didn't know many people here in the forums were sensative about the phrase "Real Steel." I know many of the actual parts (of the real thing) aren't made of steel, but I liked the phrase because it rhymed. Now I know not to use it here, as people are as sensative to it as the "Clip" vs "Magazine" issue.
Well, specifically for the M16's and M4's the term real steel isn't accurate, the majory if steel on the M16 is only in the front site and barrel, the rest being little pieces like the trigger and magazine release..
Real aluminum is where it's at.
