First, you need a perfectly operational TM M4S-system...
And then you go to work with this:
Not very hard, although it requires a lot of patience. Quite difficult for me, I don't have any!![]()
De M15A4 Carbine is of a teammate btw.
Nice paintjob, but no real joy. What do I see over there???
Oh no! It's damaged! Well... To be quite honest that's exactely what I was hoping for... 8)
Back to work!
Better... Slightly better...
Let's try a little bit harder!
Even my teammate starting working on his, although I was a little bit more... brutal?
TADAA!!!
Next: a nice Aimpoint-replica. It will receive the same treatment of course! 8-)
Ah, I painted a replica of the same exact rifle.
Have to ask War, the sling attachment point, what type of model did you use? (Or your friend use?) I'm looking at getting one of those Soc-C slings from Blue Force Gear, and I have no clue what type of attachment point goes on the rifle for that.
wargod really nice what kind of paint BTW??
Looks like a can of Tamiya spray paint in tan.
The bulk of the SIR is plastic, but the individual rails are metal. The receiver is plastic like the other TM models.
The spraypiant is Tamiya in color TS-3. The CA M15A4 is mine btw.
The slinghook I use came from ehobbyasia.
Here's a little picture form my (replica) aimpoint:

Pretty much finished the M16A4, but I may put a 110 spring in that bitch. Compared to the CA M4A1:
Pointless sexy pose:
Yes, that's duct tape holding the RIS panels to the rails. Otherwise they'd fly off because the connectors on the replica covers are too weak. The rubber ones don't fit as well, because apparently the replica RAS rail is very very slightly thinner in diameter than the real one.
Plus all the real gangsta guys have duct tape holding the panels on.(Kinda forced to, since the real ones slide around and get lost as well)
I seem to point better with the M16A4 than I do with the M4. The extra weight seems to help me keep my sight picture form flying off target when I pick up on targets quickly from the low ready position.
With all them rails, there's alotta room for nothing. I may put my bipod on there if I do some sorta squad marksman thingy, with a scope and whatnot, just travelling with my buddies as an embedded long range shooting kinda guy or some crap like that.
I don't plan on painting it. I do plan on getting an M1907 tanned leather shooting sling for it, as that would be nice.
I have a M15A4 on the way soon tacoGonna turn it into a SPR though
