I was kind of thinking that since it is a G&P SPR, it's probably the G&P RAS free float replica that comes with it.
Yep you're right there, but to my understanding it's a license deal and identical in every way to the real Knight's one... got what I assume is their phone number on there even, full line reads "KNIGHT'S ARMAMENT CO. VERO BEACH , FL. (561) 562-5697" and the other side reads "M-4 SNIPER R.A.S. - PN: 99167". Try the number Phil, might work

Damn nice and solid as anything. I'll put some pics of my newly coyote-tan'd USMC desert outfit up in a new topic sometime, complete with rifle in action et cetera In the meantime, here're the pics here
Doesnt appear too convincing. I have yet to see any offical issue LBV in MARPAT as most of their rigs seem to be in cyote. Maybe gain a few pounds to fill out that uniform and then well see

lol... unfortunately, no matter what I eat and what exercise I do I'm still as skinny as a rake (as everyone notices )... I mean, perhaps if I adopted a USMC training schedule that'd bulk me out a bit but I'm not that dedicated

The LBV is a commercial one, not mil-spec... I got it 'cos it was MARPAT and MARPAT was "teh c00l" before I started getting into all this USMC stuff... just haven't changed it out yet. It's good for what it is, and it was really cheap, but it's starting to bug me now... the side mag pouches aren't big enough for two MAGPUL'd M4 mags and there aren't any easy-open clips or anything for the two dump pouches to the side which is a MAJOR pain. I'm considering getting rid of it and just going with good old-fashioned MOLLE pouches but they're quite expensive to get in this country (good quality ones in any case) and I haven't even taken this LBV airsofting yet so I don't know how it'll handle! I'll take this gear out in a couple of weeks though so I'll soon find out whether I'm gonna regret my decision to wear the SAAV and not buy some SDS or BHI pouches or whatever...
I'm really digging the coyote stuff now though, it's a really effective colour, it's just that I've already got the damn vest and I want to use it at least once before I change it spent enough money on this gear, what's a little more? also finding a CamelBak in coyote is quite difficult over here in the UK as well, I'm working with what i've got... Thanks for the feedback though, much appreciated

Anyway, 'nuff with the thread hijacking, back on topic...

leon, is there any chance of another pic of your G3 where you can make it out a little better? looks sweet though man, especially with the bayonet... what's the manufacture of your M4? and does it have a metal reciever, i can't tell from the pic... i'm personally not a fan of the Samurai system but it still looks pretty cool

Solo, how much did you get the ACOG for if you don't mind me asking? Although I'm really pleased with my replica if I could find a real one at a reasonable price I'd definitely go for it... any suggestions? and twombley, the aimpoint mounted far back looks teh tactical!!!11one1 if you mount it back... lol does look pretty cool though on some guns...

Phil - pictures when you're done! that's a sweet looking gun you got there... my friend brought his stock CA G3 when we went airsofting last weekend and i've got to say it's a lovely rifle, I'd never played with one before. Very solid, very comfortable to hold and nice and heavy. Enjoy it Got pics from that weekend too that i'll put up soon... some guys brought along an airsoft-converted MG42, near the end of the day we put it in a Toyota truck and me and the MG42 guy drove around and shot people, that was pretty cool... I'll have pics up tomorrow I suspect

Gonna post pics tomorrow, just wanted to tell you as you and I are the Acog Airsofters in these whereabouts I guess.

The chevron thing is cooler than I thought, and can have multiple uses too

Here you go babe. The TA31F would be my "latest acquisition" but I'll be a good boy and post 'em once only

    Gotta love them, Acogs.

What a fool. The TA31F shows barely in the first closeup pic: it's the one partially covered by the TA01NSN

guess will have to take another pic :P

[quote="|LeOn|"]This is my airsoft ag3, or g3 a4 if you want. (In norway we call it ag3)

Iam going to modify those magazines so that they would fit in my weapon.

The bajonet are real (and sharp), but it isnt mine. Many thanks to ms for borrowing me his bajonet so that I could modify my weapon to make it fit.
It also got a 350fps tune

edit: forgot mentioning that it has classic army metal body, and that the foregrip and buttstock are real steel parts, which make it heavy and solid (4.7kg's, same as the original)

    http://leon.td.org.uit.no/albums/air...0207.sized.jpg

LeOn - Very nice. 7.62 rocks, man! I have seen this before, but without the bayonet. Very cool. 350 fps? I am looking to go maybe 400. I still need info on this. Can the current gearbox handle this? Is it just a spring change?

My CA metal cocking tube finally came! Now I have all the parts to make it all metal. Is it hard to do? Any tips? (thanks in advance).

I have 3 batteries in my G3. 2 AK style sticks in the front grip, and the big boy in the back (for A3/SG1 ops...3000 mA total!...1200 mA for G4 only). I was looking for a way to switch battery packs (and charge them) WITHOUT opening any part of the gun. Since electronics is my day job, I came up with a switchless system. Batteries need isolation to work together in parallel otherwise one pack can bring down the others (different internal resistance), so I used a schottky diode on each pack to do this (power flows out...not back in). Then I used existing metal screws as charge points to "clip onto" and ran the wires to the backside of the diodes (power only flows into the battery you chose to charge). Very nice system! Never have to open the gun! If anyone is interested, I will document the system and post it.

cmdrfire - I look forward to the pics! The G3 A4 (actually HK91 A4) was my dream for years. It's a real killer. Too good for us lowlife citizens I guess. The ban in the States spoiled my dream!
So much for the American dream...to bare GOOD arms, that is. At least I can have a replica until they ban that too. It feels great with all the bats inside. Until I nix all the ugly gray plastic and get the metal in place, I won't be happy. Soon!

solo - excellent pics! Hardcore all the way. I don't think the ACOG would look so good on a G3, but I'm still trying to decide what to put on it, so who knows.

tw0mb1ey - I gleaned a really cool pic from a superbit version of BHD with a nice close up of "Twomely" (written on his helmet) in battle. Might make a good avatar. I could send it to you if you are interested.

    Philbert - OUT
