It's airsoft, so it works fine for now. If this was a real firearm, I wouldn't even install a rail system on an AK. Heck, I haven't attached any rail systems on the actual AR15s I'm tinkering with now.

-Attachment was rudimentary and fast. A bit of tape and some cable ties. You'd be surprised at how solid it is if done correctly.

    Thanks Taco!

I remember when I tried putting airsoft parts (obviously nothing to injure anyone) on my shotgun or some rifle or something, and then shooting and watching them fly off. Was a fun-filled day in the desert.

just a question from a non-airsofter. Do you long range airsoft rifles with optics hit accurate target's at respectible distances?

NO! They are toys are shoot like **** compared to real steel. You can hit a object from the size of a balloon at 40 meters if you are lucky.

Don't expect much more than that.

AEG's perhaps, a bolt action sniper with a good tightbore shooting @ 500fps can do much more than 40m.

Well, my former 415 fps aeg fired things accurate at 40 meters out, the size of a coke can every time. Anything past that, then the bb just starts to dip down. If you want fun, go with an aeg. If you want a lot more power, go buy a pellet rifle. Those things you should buy if you want to get serious in hitting targets at 100 meters. Just don't buy lead pellets, bad for the environment.

    Yes....you can do an extra 10 - 15 meters. That's it......

Simple science: If you shoot 0.20 BB @ 500 FPS than the theoretical maximum effective distance the BB can travel is 68,6 meter.

true, but air resistance, humidity all hinder the bb from flying that far out accurately. I'd like to see one rifle that shot at 500 fps. I bought my 415 fps just for fun, I never played airsoft games.

My M4 is doing around 500fps with a M150 spring and 0.2 bb.
