It provides a slight advantage when it comes to reloading. Most of the time I don't use it (as in, the mag doesn't even touch the "skirt"), but sometimes I do, and I'm glad it's there.

It also helps to break up the replica's standard profile, as most people don't have them. It also adds more Flat Dark Earth to my build.

RCR-85, looks great. Very nice job.

Thanks! The SIR and the mock gas piston (not visible in the picture) are like that of the REC7, but the MBK is like that of the '468...so I like to think of it as an "Updated" M468-LE.
