The training period of the Turkish Naval Special Forces, which lasts 49 weeks, is shorter than that of the OKK.
OKK (Red Berets) is training period is around 2.5 years. The combatant size of the OKK is not greater than 500.???
there is a more specialized unit with only 100-120 members in OKK. Although the name of the unit is Combat Search and Rescue (Muharebe Arama Kurtarma - M.A.K.) We call them "Best of Bests". Their training period is over 2,5 years.

Well most of the Leos we will get are already in the latest batch of Leo2A4, remaining few will be brought to that level. There is no extensive modernisation going on there.. Just a basic refurbishment and trials. It shouldnt take years..Originally Posted by Scyth
It must be greater than that. Cause, OKK is a DIVISION. (I'm absulately sure.) (Which, a normal infantry division has about 12.000 men)Originally Posted by Clearday-TRForce
And, an interesting detail about Leopard 2A4 contract : These tanks will use DM63 ammunition. With this contract, Turkey will be the 3th country which uses DM63 (The others are Switzerland and Holland) Soon, I will give a few information about this ammunition. But I now that DM63 has a great velocity, 1.650m/second, with L44.(I can't imagine the L55. It must be about 1900-2000m/s) . And it also can be used in very cold or hot air conditions, safely.
Beleg, do you know what kind of modernization will be done to Leo 2a4 ? Will they have L44 or L55 caliber gun ?
