Description:
The Ship is a mono-hull type vessel, all steel construction, designed to meet the speed, sea keeping maneuverability and stability requirements of Turkish Naval Forces Command. The expected service life will be 30 years.
Displacement : 1,155 Tons
Length (LOA) : 79.85 m
Length (LWL) : 72.95 m
Beam :11.70 m
Draught : Less than 0.95 m forward; less than 2.35 m aft at full load.
Propulsion : 2 X MTU 16V4000 M70 diesel engines,
2 X ZF 7666 reverse reduction gear box,
2 shafts, 2 fixed pitch propellers.
Speed (Max continuous) : 16.5 Knots at full load displacement,
Speed (Maximum) : 18.0 Knots at full load displacement,
20.0 Knots at Light ship displacement.
Special Features:
Ships are under contraction in accordance with Turkish Lloyd Military Ships Rules and will be classified by Turkish Lloyd.
Control and monitoring of the propulsion system from the bridge and MCR.
Monitoring and control of major ship systems from the bridge and monitoring of alarms at MCR.
100% redundancy for critical systems.
Fully air conditioned accommodation.
Ballistic protection
Electro - hydraulic front ramp.
Flood and fire detection.

When the first batch(9 right ?) of new helis will enter the service ?
The first package (Including 9 Heli) of T129 helicopters will enter the service at this year. Those models haven't got UMTAS and Cirit missiles they have got only 20 mm M197 gatling cannon. The second package (Including 50 heli) is going to deliver at the middle of 2013. The second package helis are including UMTAS and Cirit missiles and Stinger AA missiles ...Originally Posted by Hkn

Maybe.I don't know but those first 9 heli's main mission is serving commando forces form terror zones.
I have a question about the new battle rifle. Will the various jandarma forces equipped with the hk'33 also use the new rifle or will they keep the '33?

The new HK33's will be used alongside the 7.62 rifle.
