    @Zander

    I'm aiming for limiting the polycount to 7.000 polys for this heli. Atm the heli already tends to exceed the polylimit. That's why I'm planning to reduce polys when I've finished the modell.

    I recently learned how to use 3dsmax and am still trying to learn more on it. What do you mean with " genereating a normal map". Is their a function in 3dsmax that allows to automatically reduce the polys?

    normal mapping is the technologie used in far cry and doom3: http://members.shaw.ca/jimht03/normal.html

    yea there is the modificator optimize but the result won't be very clean.

    if you want, send me your object i'll show you how you can optimize it.

    what technic do you use to model? surface? subdivision?

    Default Need custom header for new Web site

    Wow, there is some real talent in here! Maybe someone here can help.

    I'm in need of a custom header for a new Web site, and I'm willing to pay a talented artist a negotiated rate. If you are interested please contact me at magspot@comcast.net.

    About the header: Needs to be 790x60 optimized for the Web. Design features to include a tattered American flag on the left flying over a post-apocalyptic America. See http://www.shatteredunion.com for an example of design elements. Design must be original and professional. More info about header upon request.

    Thanks,
    Tom

    Great pictures guys, but before you post. Take a moment to resize them, they are far too big for the screen.
