Default French opertations in Africa during the 90's

I'm looking for some good info, in English, on French combat operations in Africa during the last 10-15 years or so. Web links are preferred, but old magazine articles are also OK.

    Thanks in advance.

Best material is still the french magazine "RAIDS". Tons of very good info and splendid photography. But yes, it's in french.

Yeah, but RAIDS stopped publishing in English years ago. Which sucks. They had some of the best photography I've ever seen. They also covered stories you don't get to see in US magazines.

    To get a RAIDS subscription:

    Call 00 33 1 40 21 18 20 with a Visa card number and 75 Euros latter you'll be a subscriber.

    Or use their email:

    abonnement@histecoll.com

Last June they've published a special issue on OIF packed with pictures never seen anywhere else. RAIDS had one of the only non-enbedded reporter of the war...and it shows on the pics !

Actually, I can get a subscription from their US distributor (RZM Imports) at www.rzm.com. I just don't want to have to spend the time translating.

A Brit an Italian an American and an Iraqi war orphan find themselves adrift on a life boat. As the days go by it becomes obvious that there is only enough food and water left for 3 of them, if any, to survive. Seizing the moment the noble Britt with a stiff upper lip proclaims, "god bless Britannia" and throws himself to the sharks so that the others may survive. A day later the never to be upstaged American heeds the call saying God bless America and throws himself too out of the boat. Seeing he was now alone with the small scared child the Frenchmen proclaims Viva La France and without hesitation tosses the small boy out of the boat.

Wait how did the the Frenchman get into the boat? What happened to the Italian guy? Now I'm confused.

Riiiight... the thing about telling jokes is, in order for the punchline to work, you have to get the set-up right.
    Better luck next time.

Replace the Italian with a French Journalist and all is well.

    EDIT: Here

A Brit, a French Journalist, an American, and an Iraqi war orphan find themselves adrift on a life boat. As the days go by it becomes obvious that there is only enough food and water left for 3 of them, if any, to survive. Seizing the moment the noble Britt with a stiff upper lip proclaims, "god bless Britannia" and throws himself to the sharks so that the others may survive.
