What a great concept for a show, and the footage of the gun camera films with the classical music behind it was breath-taking, really emotive stuff.
To think some of those guys went into combat with only 9 hrs flight time is nuts. I've read Geoffrey Wellum's book about his experiences and it's amazing stuff, he was actually on the show too.
In his book he talks about how he flew a fighter across to Malta with the ammo store filled with cigarettes for the troops stationed there, and had to avoid german patrols en route!
