    Default European football

So we have an american football thread. And why not having universal european football thread. Season opened in some countries.

I was at a game on friday. My team unfortunately plays in third division.
And unfortunately we took an early lead by 2:0 and lost 2:4.
The new stadium has brought a streak of bad luck. I took a subway there and unfortunately an overcharged police man guided me and a couple of others to the wrong train. It was an heated much anticipated derby and i sat in a subway with 300 supporters of the wrong (away) team. The five others couldn't keep their mouth shut and so i was lucky to get out of the subway with 'just' a beer shower.

The only team in first division(Bundesliga) that i (somehow) sympathize lost 3:0 to bayern munich in munich. Borussia Mönchengladbach. The team Kasey Keller plays for (some might be interested). It's the town i work in.

    i was here on friday:
pic was taken at another game. brand new arena, but to big for the 3rd div games.

    Keller in Gladbach:

    their stadium

    both are around 50.000...

The second (Borussiapark) can handle 60.000+ when the seats are removed in some sections and transformed to standing terraces.

The first pic (LTU-Arena Düsseldorf) can host 52.000. Only seating there.

Looks like Man Utd are buying Owen. Should make Man U interesting with Rooney and Owen up front. Good for England too.

We where also favourites for relegation last season being good favourites with betting shops across the country to go down.

A lot of people where left speechless when we finished 4th!

    Don’t doubt us yet.

I'm hoping Arsenal will do a litle better against Chelsea at the weekend than they managed yesterday. Drogba was looking like the player Chelsea payed all that money for though, and if he keeps it up it should make for some good goals. And Arsenals passing looked pretty good without Vieira.

They've got too many forwards as it is though. Ferguson was talking about converting Smith to midfield as Keanes replacement the other week.

If I were Fergie, I'd try and offload Saha or Smith if Owen came to the club, but I'm not sure they'd go for a good price

I can still feel yesterdays match in my voice and my blood. I went to see my home team AGF, play in Copenhagen and had a blast. Less than 200 of the more dedicated fans from Galehuset(The Insane Asylum) lifted the spirit to the sky. My team finaly got the seasons first point, so we celebrated like we won the match.

Bad for Bochum, they had my sympathy. But i don't really care for the north clubs like bremen. But if they can keep bayern away from the championship then go bremen, and even schalke.

Villareal has no name in the world of football but last year was one of the best in Spain , played good football, has good players. Everton is going to have a hard qualifying round.
