This qualification system is not very fair. Every world cup there are countries like Saudi Arabia whereas every world cup there are powerful european countries that have to stay out. The last example was the netherlands in Japan-Korea . It may sound a bit radical but i just can't understand why we have to earn our place in the World Cup fighting ourselves whereas such nations like Saudi Arabia earn theirs defeating Uzbekistan (for example). If they want their place in the world cup they should proove they deserve it .
PS. Sorry for this rant but remembering the dutch team at home while Saudi Arabia ridicuilized all football means by loosing 8-0 against the worst Germany in years makes me sick.

I know we get most of the space (btw, i think we get 16 places, 2 european countries in every group) but it's not enough. Yes, we have ****ty countries, many times ****ty european countries qualify instead of the "good" ones but due to the nature of the group phase it's impossible for all the "good" teams to qualify.
Taking this world cup as an example:
group 1:
Czech Republic, the netherlands and romania (at least 1 out).
group 2:
Turkey, Greece, Ukraine and Denmark (at least 2 out).
group 4:
France, Ireland and Switzerland (at least 1 out).
group 5:
Italy, Slovenia, Norway and Scotland
group 7:
Spain, Serbia and Belgium
group 8:
Sweden, Croatia and Bulgary
Of these countries at least 11 can't qualify for the world cup and i bet my both arms that any of these teams would qualify unbeaten in any confederation (except in South America). The same can be said about South America, in which Chile, Uruguay and Colombia have to fight for just 1 place.

That's what i thought, no arguments and hypocrisy. As i said, some people just gave you a taste of your own medicine.We have a very good reason.
