Figo is going to the easy money as well. Reported one year deal for Al Ittihad (Saudi Arabia) at 5 million euros for the first six month. He had a proposal from the US and declined.
If "soccer" gains more popularity in the US and the MLS starts to approach a status similar to what the NHL enjoys in the field of hockey, I think European football teams and leagues will be in for some serious soul searching.
