Official confirmation was during "Industry Days 2013", Vice Minister of Defence Waldemar Skrzypczak confirmed we will purchase two battalions of Leopard 2A5 tanks, which means 116 tanks for two battalions + tanks for training unit and reserve, this gives approx 128-130 tanks total to be purchased.

Rest you have in a link.

However I doubt that you will find anything in non Polish sources, as this event was most likely followed only by Polish media focused on our military and arms industry.

Yeah, these Leopard 2A5's will be taken from German Heer when they will withdraw them from service, as they plan to use only Leopard 2A6's.

It is hard to compare credibility of some unspecified source, and credibility of the vice minister of defence, don't you think?

Isn't the German Heer drawing down to about 450 Leopard 2A6's total?

the link speaks about a high amount of tanks in maintenance because of the abrasive conditions in the Atacama desert. Others might be kept in storage for spares...
