Nice tank pics Airborne. I'm an ex-tanker and I likey-likey armor.
It looks like the AMX-30 has a pretty capable gun. Armor is non-existant though.
Well the gun is not so impressive but still capablle. Its not like the 125mm Gun of the T-80's but the 105mm is the same caliber like the Turkish M-48's nad M-60's in the aerea.Originally Posted by Scyth

It appears from the pics that both the CG SAR Cougars and the HAF CSAR Cougars were built to the same standard and equipment. Is that correct?
That's a quite confused situation. Both SAR and CSAR type Super Puma helis are flown by HAF's 358th Sqdr personel (pilots and crew). No Coast Guard pilots! The only difference is that the SAR (orange painted) Super Pumas ONLY also have a Coast Guard's rescue diver (frogman) on board as an additional crew member and take - off under Coast Guard Hq request for rescue operations. That means that a HAF 358th Sqdr pilot for example could fly a SAR Super Puma heli on Monday and try CSAR Super Puma heli next day (Tuesday). No difference! The HAF's 358th Sqdr. which is based in Elefsina AB, is also equiped with AB-205 SAR and AB-212 VIP helicopters.Originally Posted by Sancho Pancho

Any more photos of Cypriots with Russian made equipment, especially with ak and mil mi -24?
Do Cypriots use Yugoslav m-70?
A cypriot guy from college told me that they used it for training.
hey everybody! this is my first post here and since i'm cypriot (greek-cypriot) i thought it'd be rather fitting that i begin posting in a greek-oriented topic.
If i'm not mistaken, our National Guard do use the Yugoslav m-70 for training but they only use it in the early stages of training. Then they switch to the HK G-3A4....correct me if i'm wrong pls...
Why would you use a different type of weapon just for training?
i dnt knw, thats why i'm not sure...i guess since its an older model, if a rookie does something to the gun, it wont be as bad as damaging the G-3A4....
