353 MARITIME PATROL AIRCRAFTS SQUADRON
The 353 Maritime Patrol Aircrafts Squadron was formed in 1969 and was placed in the Northern part of Elefsina AB in 112 wing. That time operate 12 HU-16B Albatross Aircraft which was bought from Norway
in 1992 Hellenic Navy deside to buy 6 P-3B Orion TACNAVMOD from US Navy.

The Submarine Command of the Hellenic Navy has today 8 Type 209 Subarines (4 "Glafkos" Type 209/1100 and 4 "Poseidon" Type 209/1200)
and 4 Type 214 "Papanikolis" Type, under Delivery. The First Type 214 Submarine will arrive in September 30 2005 (in a month)
