I don't know what branch they belong to (special guards, border guards, etc.). I saved those images during the incident of the russian convict escape in Ioannina, last year. Somebody else could help out with the details.

dear m3a1 ...l can say it was the best smg ever made... reliable and simple...
I read once that there used to be some US soldiers in Korea that prefered to use the older Thompson instead of the Grease gun. It surely is a compact weapon, much more than the Thompson.![]()

They are Border Patrol operators of the Hellenic Police. Keep in mind that:
- Border Patrol operators, use UZI & H&K MP-5 9x19mm submachineguns and H&K G-3 7.62x51mm rifles. Special Guards don't use UZIs - They only use H&K MP-5 submachineguns and (only in Crete island) H&K G-3 & FN 7.62x51mm rifles.
- Border Patrol operatos, are seving at the Ioannina city. Special Guards don't (Athens, Thessaloniki and Crete island only)!
Thanks Nick.![]()
I didn't know Special Guards used FN FALs but then again if you're up against cretans with AKs, well you need something better than an MP5.
Here's some images of the Police Special Guards on the island, during the "harvest".
