    Default Makes me feel safe

Makes me feel safe, knowing I am a gun owner and the amount I own they would try to say I have a damn arsenal.

ATF Special Response team member David Millen looking for weapons under a house in New Orleans Saturday Sept. 17, 2005. The team had reports of weapons at that house, but none were found. There is a heavy presence of police and military police in the area since Hurricane Kitrina hit the Crescent City. (AP Photo/Ann Heisenfelt)
Wonder how our founding fathers would react if they saw such horrors.

I feel safe knowing that i dont own a gun. I'm unarmed so i should be safe if anything bad happned over here.Sarcasm
Why there isnt more notice taking of the ATF overstepping their authority is beyond me.

Taking legally owned guns away from lawful gun owners. In a nation AND a state that both recognize gun ownership as a goddamn right.

The fact that we have constitutional rights in NAME only, and these "rights" can be violated at almost any time by the government, with little repercussion, pisses me off. Mind you, I'm not only concerned about 2nd Ammendment rights, but all rights we used to take for granted.

    BUT

It is a highly dangerous course of action the powers that be are taking considering the US constitution.

Strict as hell for obvious reasons. Shotguns and small calibre rifles(.22) are pretty much all you can get. You have to get the polices permission first and a policeman is sent to your house to ensure you have a strong enough safe in which to keep the weapon. Also, its extremely hard for someone living in a city to get one.
Handguns are illegal except for exceptional circumstances ie high ranking politicans or businessmen who could be threatened by criminals.

And leaving armed civilian contractors to do as they wish, picking and choosing which citizens get to be armed is a very bad precident. I wonder how many of these contractors are even Americans?.

yep, its also why you need a strong safe. Hanguns were outlawed as a direct result of IRA violence.
