Chris Reeve knives are roughly ten times more expensive the basic CRKT's, so it is obvious that the CRKT M-16 was chosen on basis of value for money. The article also states this.
One nice thing about the modern CRKT knives is that they have an additional securing pin on the liner lock. This is called the LAWKS system.

...I got one CRKT M-16 and gave it to my dad as a birthday gift (he didn't actually want one). I can profess that it is a good knife without any real faults or limitations. The 'Carson flipper' is actually really nice, just as Orionhawk said before.

Cold Steel Pocket Bushman
This is a very tough, sharp knife, with a sold locking system. The 4inch blade is good for just about any task you'd want in a folder and the lock is one of the strongest I've encountered. Essentially, a bolt that runs the length of the handle acts as a stop bar and is released by pulling the paracord tied to the end. There are only 3 major pieces: the handle, blade, and lockbar. After that there are only 4 screws not counting the 3 for the pocket clip and a spring to keep the bolt in. At about $25 this knife is a steal. Personally, I think its great for a BOB and I keep one in my survival kit.

I just wish it was smaller (or that there was a smaller one, anyway. the same knife, same proportions, with a 3 or 3.5 inch blade, I'd be all over it.
A smaller version would be a good idea for Cold Steel. At this price though, I don't think it'd be a shame inducing act to grind the blade down a bit to the size you'd like (assuming you have the capability to, that is). It doesn't feel very large but its just on the border of legality or illegal in some areas.
It's well outside that border in most areas I hang out (not that I particularly care). And the problem I have is more handle size than blade length. It feels huge to me.

good **** or bad? I love them, they are the main reason I use the Powerlock. they're the only multitool I haven't managed to break.
Bad ****, mostly about the lock system giving up at some point.
never had it happen, and I used these things for crimping wire-rope swages, among other things...
the cutting edges on the wire cutters could be harder, although I should have gotten bolt cutters for what I damaged them on.
Anyone have any experience with the Gerber eFECT ? I have been considering buying one but I'm debating if it is worth the money.
