You want my chopper...I could let my moms put it on the porch.
Not Viking or Celt, but modern for sure.
Cold Steel 2-handed Katana Machete
That is wacky for sure.
I'm just trying to give Henry's Fork a hard time, as I plan on bugging him to make something cool for me for my murderous rampage.
check the tube for revious, why is cold steel trying to push crappy product?
The Vikings used one handed swords as it´s pretty hard to use a two handed sword with a shield. For the big shopping they uses pretty large two handed axes but one handed that could be used with shields was also in use. I think (<-) that pretty much all of the two handed swords was in use with armor that could withstand arrows a lot better than leather or chailmail that the viking used or in situationen where there was a shield barrier between the swordbearer and the ones shoting arrows.
actually i think vikings predate two handed swords, not to mention the large sword was rather useless for people waging naval warfare for most of the time![]()
I have an Lapknife (samekniv) and a (crawford)CRKT NECK knife.
The lapknife will never ever fail you unless you find some monster like stone and try to brake it. I have used mine to open tin cans, taken down trees, chopped wood, make food and all sorts of things. Its really one of the best knifes ive ever had.
The NECK knife is all well and good, sadly I havent gotten to use it for anything yet, however I do like the weight and feel of it very much! Also the Kydex sheath is really neat and makes the whole tactical feeling come to mind.

BEHOLD: Tools for chopping limbs off lesser beings!
Allen/Ragweed Forge bearded throwing axe:
CAS Hanwei bearded axe:
Before anyone asks, I bought it for killing people with. Thousands dead, everywhere. Also chopping trees in the mountains while making trails and building anchors and whatnot, since a machete does not have the balance and chopping power required for our arid climate with dense wood.
Which may not be a problem since I'm probably moving to Yosemite before the end of the month. Dream job.Took long enough.
its a beauty Taco, good luck with new job
Nice choppin instruments, Taco!
What's yer job going to be?
Depends. So far some sort of housekeeping job in order to get there and have a place to live while I get an IT position. Or perhaps guiding (climbing). Kinda don't want to do the guiding thing anymore as it tends to take the fun out of it.
