The CRKT m16 is my everyday knife
Jeez I'm absolutely pro bayonet. I even did some bayonet fencing few years ago (specialized masks similiar to fencing ones but much thicker, padder plastrons and gloves, rifles used were imitations of Mosin Nagants with bayos fitted with "safe" business end and thick rubber fittings on butt. Pure brutal fun![]()

I have one stupid question, how one can break even a cheap knife when properly using it, its not a hammer for a Gods sake, I never used knifes you would call quality ones, and brooke non of them(and I cut everything from branches, through some stick sculptures, electric cables, skin, bread, milk cartoons, letters to end on oranges, also used them as screw drivers)... When I hear about knifes breaking I recal that joke about polish guy that got two metal balls, he lost one and destroyed second, and I'm sure it wasn't about balls being poor quality...
keeping sharp is another thing thoug but who needs razor sharp blades anyway...
Winter BDUs suck.
BOT: for my money nothin beats my Kershaw assisted opening tactical blur with modified tanto blade

Mini Ka Bar and HK Tanto blade auto, my two favorites![]()
I bought a Benchmade AFCK before I started at the Academy. I've carried it since. A LEO friend gave me a Benchmade Stryker with some cool engravings as a graduation present. I also just bought a Benchmade Rescue Hook, we'll see how that works out.
I have a question: Ka-Bars are famous as being the classic fighting knife issued to US Marines during WW2, but were they issued to the US Army as well? I know they make US Army-logo Ka-bars *nowadays* in the same style as the original USMC one, but it comes off as a sort of "you can have one too!" consolation prize. I'm just asking cause I'm in the Army now, and I've always wanted a Ka-Bar, but even as a kid I knew that the Ka-Bar was the Marines' knife.
Also, if it wasn't a Ka-Bar, does anyone know which, if any, knife was issued to Army personnel during WW2?
Later in the war the KA-BAR Fighting Knife was adopted by other branches of the service and were stamped accordingly.
i like the kabar because its bad ass in general and it can be attached to your gun and used as a bayonet
