    If I was Toyota, I would market the **** out of this (i.e., Toyota 4x4, the preferred truck of the U.S. Special Forces in Afghanistan, or Toyota, doing its part in the war on terror, or Toyota-great for road travel or fighting terrorists in the mountains of Afghanistan).

    As far as I know, the first toyota sent to a-stan were rented, then Toyota USA sent some 100 vehicles for free, with racomandations to not cover the brand on the trucks.

    The sales of toyota trucks skyrocketed during enduring freedom.

    I've got a Tacoma it's great

    but the reason they used toyotas werent just because they kicked ass it's because of availability of parts.

    If something goes wrong parts where readily available (roughly) in the area to recieve and fix. As opposed to a Land Rover or some other truck of that nature.
