    It looks like dirt on the lens , if you notice around it there are some other smugdes around the photo. Look at the photo in full resolution and it becomes more clear.

    huh? the current Tacoma still has solid rear axle with leaf springs.

    sorry. got it wrong. I thought i read that on a page somewhere around the net. The SF's decided to go with the Tacoma's rather than the hilux's was it was easier to buy them in the states, fit them out and transport them over, than modifying the hiluxes in country. And the Tacoma's have a stronger frame and suspension set up.

    yes which is the same frame in use by the current 4runner and lexus GX SUV's.
