Welcome to the new official IDF thread.

The purpose of this thread is to honor the IDF and those who serve and have served in it.

Few things to remember before going any further:

- Avoid reposting and posting old images in general, we are more interested in seeing something new
- Stay on topic

Previously there were 3 different threads that represented different branches of the IDF (ground forces, air force and navy), me and Ren987 have decided to merge them into this thread to make it possible for you to see the whole of the IDF in one place, instead of having you search for separate threads like it was before.

Since the first thread was about the Israeli Air Force, photos of the ground forces start showing from page #4 and the navy from page #34.

Does the Airforce and not the army operate the helos? Does the army have its own seperate aviation unit too?

Well soory but i don't know i think it is calssified.
most likely electronic warfare?


And yes by "planes" i meant helos as well. the army do not opearate any Air crafts (soory don't know the right term in english by air crafts i mean choopers F15, F16, and so on)

F15E (Baz 2000-upgraded), F15I, F4 (retired), F4-2000 (retired), A4 (retired), F16A/B/C/D, F16I, Kfir (I think it has also retired). C-130, Arava, Boeing 707, Queen air, TB20, A-36. Sea-scan, King air, 707 AWACS (Phalcon). G-120A, Tzukit. Apache, Apache Longbow, Eurocopter Panther, Blackhawk, HH-65A, AH-1, Bell 212, Bell 206, Yasu'ur 2000 (CH53-upgraded model). And tons of UAVs that aren't even listed on the IAF site.
