According to this website, http://www.globalsecurity.org/milita...-equipment.htm , the IDF has 3566 M2 Bradley's in service, how come that I don't see them on any pictures then. :?

Look further down in the table where it says m2/m3 halftracks. It's undoubtedly them they are counting twice.

Nice pics. Do you have any good pictures of Israeli Centurions and T-62s?

Those captured tanks were remade into APCs though. Didn't the IDF upgrade some captured T-62s and pressed them into service?

Tiran 5/6 (t-55/62) are not common at all unlike the centurions and the best is to check this link : http://www.israeli-weapons.com/weapo...ran/Tiran.html

    To Michel:

The information I have is that here are only three Strykers in service with the IDF. Number plates 400001/2/3 Tzadi (sorry if I am misspelling this hebrew letter). They were used for evaluation puposes.

In summary the information I have is as follows:
400001Tz was used for evaluation with the RAFAEL Trophy active protection device.
400002Tz was used in the Territories for tactical evaluation in LIC environment
400003Tz was assigned to a paratroop company

AFAIK, the program was cancelled because of two issues; firstly the IDF is in favour for heavy APC's, they would prefer to use the Namera (based on old Merkava hulls, a similar concept to the Achzarit or the Nakapdon), the second issue was the lack of funds for its adquisition.

If anybody can share more information on the IDF Strykers I would be grateful.

    Regards,
