    We were members of Kibbutz Yahel together. I roomed with him there before we got out onw apartments. We were in tironut (basic training) together too.

    That's the Soltam M-71 155mm/39 caliber towed howitzer.

    You have more info about the different howitzers in IDF inventory and the israeli-made one here

    Regular camo suit, it's available to all regular infantry units and can be requisitioned by units who need it through quartermasters.
    The idiocy is they bother using it, but still wear the idiotic "bullseye" helmet cover and an olivedrab colored backpack

    That was an actual camo uniform, the one in the former photo is an over the uniform mesh suit. Other then that there are also surplus woodland and desert US uniforms, but not in frequent use for actual combat units.

    Yes, I know but extremely rare among the bulk of deployed combat troops- regular and reserve infantry brigades.
