The point I was trying to make is there is a reason to pack a target with fuel drums during training and that is to simulate a building used by the enemy as an arms depot an/or ****y trapped with lots of explosives. So unlike other buildings when targetted by fires it will explode in a huge ball of flame.

These enemies (Hamas, Hezbollah, Taliban, etc) actually try and use schools and religious centres as their arms depots and military bases in a hope it will deter attack and if attacked so they claim propaganda value against their law abiding opponents. Its part of modern conflicts and training for it is good.
This exercise looks like one of these "ability demonstrations", so in this particular case I'm guessing it was rather for a better visual effect, than anything else.

Thanks for thinking of me. Wow I leave this thread for la few days and there is so much new information my head is bursting. All the new pics. and info. are wonderful.

Just a friendly standard reminder as I have not seen one in the last few pages to watch what we say on here, and edit photos where needed (maps, license plates, faces, etc.). Other than "ancient times" there is no real reason to ever discuss detailed unit composition, tectics, etc. I know I am still a new member here but that does not make the reminder any less important.

I never knew this story. AMAZING stuff. I have a very high regard for both the Vietnamese and Laotian Hmong community and cannot wait to inform my friends.

its also worth noting that since the 2nd intafada started, a lot of arab labourers have been replaced by thais. i have cousins who run a flower operation on a moshav, and when 2 of their arab workers were involved in a suicide attack (1 was the suicide bomber, the other was a coordinator) they replaced them all with thai workers, who i think israel offered visas to in order to fill these employment gaps.

ma hakesher??? i was talking about vietnamese refugees, you talk about thai foreign employees. the only connection between them is that both vietnam and thailand are in south-east asia, and that's about it.
