A model of the Maritime Patrol Aircraft IAI based on Bombardier Q400 turbo-prop powered aircraft. Elta and Bombardier are positioning this platform to meet Medium Range Maritime Patrol and Coastal Surveillance requirements currently developing in India.

Interpretation of the model shows a combination of sensors, comprising Elta's EL/M-2022A maritime search radar, Electronic Support Measures and MOSP type electro-optical sensor, and, additional communications intelligence COMINT array. The aircraft also mounts a side-mounted gun pod, aft-mounted countermeasures dispensers and side-mounted containers which could carry various stores, for search and rescue missions or other tasks. To minimize drag and generated by these containers, forward strakes were added.

On display were models of special mission aircraft, and full scale models of UAVs, EO payloads, electronic intelligence and COMINT payloads, ground control stations for UAVs, missiles, loitering weapons, and more. The Electronic Flight Bag - from Astronautics C.A.

Astronautics CA Ltd. of Israel is presenting at Aero-India an innovative application of its Electronic Flight Bag (EFB), utilized as mission computer used in military transport aircraft. According to Menahem Donner, Manager, Airborne Systems Business development at Astronautics, implementing changes in avionic equipment requires a lengthy process. The EFB designed to operate as a stand-alone system can receive information from the aircraft but does not transmit any data and therefore does not have any effect on the flight safety or other critical systems. EFB is becoming a popular device in the cockpits of commercial aircraft, and is now entering military planes, providing a flexible tool running specific mission applications that can be developed by the user, on standard Microsoft Windows operating system and run on Windows as well.
