    From IDF Flickr

    May 18, 2011

The Chief of the General Staff, Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz, visited an exercise conducted today in the Golan Heights by the Python battalion, part of the Paratrooper's Brigade.

During his visit, Lt. Gen. Gantz heard briefings, watched the exercise, and talked with commanders and their soldiers.
The Python brigade conducted the exercise after successfully completing operational duties in southern Israel.

I don't know, there's something about Gantz's look and demeanour which makes him look more at home in an office than at the field.

I agree, I was looking at that pic with him running with his AR, and I don't like it at all, there is no need to pull a Gabi's. he is what he is.

Maybe the fact that he's 52 and looks 75. Gabi Ashkenazi is older than him and still looks 20 years younger than him. Don't forget he's a tznef.....

He could play William Holden if they ever do a Holden biopic. I kind of respect that he wanted to keep up. Did they cross the water visible in the first picture?

Its new stuff the soldiers have been getting. What brand no idea but the main idea is its a fleece, but with a waterproofing on the outside.... standard issue almost from what I saw....
