Excellent rare photos, but quite disturbing for a landlubber like me.

Default Israeli Patrol Boats Honing Her Skills

Soldiers from the "Yassur" Dvora, patrol boat, conducted a routine joint training exercise with missile boats. They practiced firing drills, mid-ocean refueling operations, simultaneous multi-vessel attack scenarios and towing another Dvora vessel.

The Dvora fleet vessels regularly conduct routine security patrols along the coastlines of Israel. January 25, 2012

What's with the lack of gomiyot on the officer, is it a navy thing?

Last week, the Artillery Corps conducted a surprise drill, stretching the unit's capabilities and preparedness for any possible scenario. The drill, a first of its kind, assessed the awareness of reserve artillery battalion 9231, commanded by Lt. Col. Jonathan Keller.

Water parade? Just curious, what is the common punishment if water dripped on the floor?

Everyone will refill the bottle to full and drink all over again? Or physical punishment? Or others?

    Default Alpine Unit

Israeli soldiers from the Alpine Unit walk in the snow during a demonstration of their skills for the media on Mount Hermon, near the Israel-Syria border January 22, 2012. The Golan Heights form a strategic plateau between Israel and Syria of about 1, 200 square kilometers (460 square miles). Israel captured it in the 1967 Middle East war and annexed it in 1981.

Gomiyot are only used when wearing standard issued boots. The soldier wearing sneakers also has his shoes covered by his pants.

Every day, Israeli citizens must cope with the potential daily threat of rocket fire from the Gaza Strip.
Just last year, in 2011, Hamas fired 627 rockets and mortars from Gaza into Israel. In order to ensure security for all Israeli civilians, the IDF dispatches Emergency Situations Instructors to day schools, instructing the children how to protect themselves in case of emergency.
In the picture is Cpl. Noy Eisen, teaching the children of Holon on proper procedures in emergency situations that can arise in Israel.

Is there a way of stopping mp.net from resizing the pictures? it's pretty annoying.
