A bit of history:

INS Gash Boat Beached in Saudi Arabia

In 24.10.1981 at night, Saar 3 INS Gash boat beached on the Saudi Arabia. The main reason for this event was the negligence of the optical director operator who apparently was sleeping at his station. He failed to notice that the boat had changed direction due to an electrical shutdown which disrupted the gyro compass and that the boat was headed towards the shore..

The boat was badly damaged. With a lot of luck, Israeli recovery team from Eilat shipyard managed to tow her to Eilat for repairs after a few days work.

After a long time Saar 3 INS Gash went back into service. And the optical director operator was court martialled and jailed along with other crew members.

^^ Wow, never heard about that... Saudi Arabia and Israel doesnt have any diplomatic relationship or they considered each others enemies, so what did Saudi Arabia do? nothing and let Israeli team rescued them? or Saudi knows nothing about this?

From what I've heard we warned Saudi-Arabia not to get near the ship or we bomb the hell outta them, but I don't really know, look it up..
