Right but don't play too much the offensed guy, russian troops probably did the same or worse in chechenya or georgia.

They disrespect familly photos of civilians, and of course that's not moral acts, but they didn't hurt, kill, or rape, so let's examine that with rationality and not emotion.

    Hi,
I agree with you. I have actually had an uncomfortable conversation with a senior officer who has responsiblity for the state of camouflage uniforms used in the IDF. It is all a question of costs and priorities. Remember, you are talking about a conscript army with a restricted budget. I happen to believe that camouflage should be given a higher priority. People more experienced than me - or you - think not. Perhaps it might be better to be a little more cautious with your comments?

    cheers

By the was shaddie you could have posted 3-5 pictures to make your point instead of every single one.

I agree screwing around with people's stuff is pretty obnoxious behavior. Though I admit if some Arab terrorist was shooting at me I'd be pretty pissed and do it too.

if I was this guy's commander, I'd sideline him for the rest of the conflict and demand disciplinary actions.

there is no excuse for an organized and professional army to behave in this manner. Yes Hamas is firing rockets, but for all this guy knows maybe this Gazan family doesnt support Hamas and are just stuck between a rock and a hard place. Whats even worse is that he takes pictures of himself and spreads it on the internet.

    totally reprehensible and unlawful.

I agree that his commander should punish him for vandalizing this families property unless there's a good reason not to like one of the residents were shooting at these guys.

So before we jump to conclusions about what this soldier does or doesn't know, what do we know? The answer to the question of who this family was can probably be answered better by the soldier as he was actually at this guy's house not to mention shooting at it or some other thing we don't know. All we really know is that this guy vandalized a house in Lebanon and somehow whether of his or anther's actions it got onto the internet and now we are looking at. I don't know of any captions that might have gone along with these pictures maybe someone can shine some light onto that.

Are you a veteran of any military? What experience has provided you with the knowledge necessary to critique any kind of uniform at all? Everyone is welcome to an opinion, but not everyone's opinion is equal. Very few are worth anything, and most are worth nothing. Maybe you should screw off.

    Have a good one.

I am not playing the offensed guy, I disagree with such behavior no matter who the soldier is - Russian, American, British, Arab, Izraeli...etc. And I'd better shut up about my opininon next time, I just got an infraction for my original comment about these photos. it seems smb took it either personal, or hates to hear people's opinion. Whatever.

LOL, why "uncomfortable"? He took it badly? But, yeah, the budget priorities eventually is the main reason, IMO too. Army will rather spend the money on some more bells and whistles for IAF than on camo for infantrymen, which do OK without it.

only want to correct you that this picture was not taken in Gaza, in a Gaza'n family home, but in Lebanon, 2006 war.
and at least one of that family mambers is a fighter

but generally, I agree with you.
there is no excuse for an organized and professional army to behave in that manner.

I think reactions would be different if Palestinian fighters painted mustaches on Israeli family portraits, I know they're just venting off some steam, but there's other ways to do it.
